Currants seem to be the quickest thing to root in the Aero , we have had signs of roots in 4 days .
We have been growing these to plant up in the back garden. Once they have started fruiting, we will pick the blackcurrants. Freeze them and then use them in smaller quantities to flavour gin, instead of using a flavoured tonic.
Difficulty Level – probably one of the easiest things we have grown.
Return on Investment (ROI) – The cuttings were taken from a plant we already had that we had bought as a small plant about 12 inches tall that had been growing for a few years. The initial plant had cost less than £2 to buy.
