Aeroponics Pyracantha Cuttings – November 2017
Aeroponics Pyracantha Cuttings were one of the first things we propagated using aeroponic propagator (GroWell 120 Plant Aeroponic Propagator) and a Propagation Light.
Using a readily available Pyracantha shrub to take some cuttings, which was growing through one of our fences in the back garden.
Setting the timer provides lots of light to help our cuttings to grow. We checked them every few days for progress.
Evidence of roots starting after less than two weeks on all four cuttings.

Rooting is quick. Moving the cuttings into the greenhouse as established roots. Potted up in soil. then watered and covered for a few days with a clear lid. Preventing too much shock.
We will take some more cuttings. It’s prickly spines are an excellent intruder deterrent.
Removal of the lid happens when ready and the cuttings overwintered in the greenhouse . We pot them on once they get too big for their pots and water when required.
Early next year we will plant out our Aeroponics Pyracantha Cuttings in the front borders as part of our grow your own garden project.
