Timba (Oscar’s Wing Man) April 2012 – September 2023
Timba joined Oscar early in 2013 and quickly and happily let Oscar establish himself as top dog. Thrown out on the streets by his former owners for an unknown period of time before being found and taken to an animal sanctuary. When he moved in he was really thin. Oscar taught Timba how to play but Timba taught Oscar how to cock his leg when he went to the toilet. Perfect companions and happy to lie in the sunshine just watching the ducks. Beware of his bark, he is very loud and most of the time we are not really sure if he knows what he is barking at.

Hobbies and Interests:
Eating
Barking very loudly
Sleeping in the sunshine
Watching the ducks
Sleeping on your feet
Shouting at other dogs even though he knows them and they are his friends
Timba’s Motto:
Love me, is that food you have? Is it for me?
The Quack Team:
A team of 32 ducks who enjoy nothing more than weeding the garden, keeping down the slug population, providing 24/7 entertainment and eggs. “You don’t have a slug problem, you have a duck deficiency” – Bill Mollison
If you are ever in the need to lighten your mood we seriously suggest you consider watching ducks. You can lose hours of time just watching and laughing at their antics as they try to pinch fruit from the blackcurrant bushes, attempt to fly or chase each other because on of them has found something delicious to eat and the others want a piece of it.

They work tirelessly from early in the morning until late in the evening helping us with our permaculture plans and when they are tired and have had enough they just all put themselves to bed where they are kept overnight hopefully safe from any visiting foxes.
Hobbies and Interests:
Slug and frog control
Swimming
Fruit picking
Weeding
Creating nitrogen enriched water – collected into watering cans and used for plant feeding
Assisting with compost production
Providing 24/7 entertainment
The Quack Team’s Motto:
‘Quack, quack, quack’ and ‘who ducks swims’.
